It's an odd world

Management and I went to Sainsbury's this afternoon.

Whilst she wandered round with the trolley I was despatched to find some gound rice.

I looked in the "Baking"section, and in the "Cereals" section, and also in innumerable places. So I eventually went looking for one of those members of staff who know about things.

I found a young lady heaving things on to shelves and asked her if she could tell me where it was.

"Oh. it will be down here," said she, as she set off like a rat up drain pipe.

When I caught up with her she was in the "Baking" section (as I suspected she might be).

"No, I can't see it. I will go and see the manager", and off she went again like a greyhound.

I followed her and saw her disappear into side storage/warehouse room.

I hung about for quite a few minutes until she eventually came back smiling.

I said, "Did you find him?"

"Yes"

"And what did he say"

"We've stopped doing it."

"Oh well, I suppose his wife will be pleased about that. Thank you"

Blank look of puzzlement.

Sainsbury's has long been our supermarket of choice, however we have a similar complaint to you. So many lines that we used to buy have now been removed from the shelves that we now have to make separate journeys to Morrison's and Tesco. Neither of these stock all the lines that we want. This has been done in order to try to pinch everyone else's business. From being one of the BEST grocery supermarkets, Sainsbury's has now become a second rate chain store, the same as the others. If we want clothes, we don't buy second rate Chinese rubbish from a supermarket, nor would we buy television sets, cameras, kitchen ware, sheets, blankets etc. We much prefer to shop at stores where we get more choice and can hopefully get advice.
