I would like to try to recover data, as I had backup, but not recent enough, and have lost some correspondance and photos. Is it worth sending the drive to a specialist Data Recovery company? So only you can know what the operation worth to you.Although I have never had a retrieval job done, nor do I personally know anyone who has, I have heard sufficient to know that it can be a very expensive affairIt would therefore seem sensible, to me, to google and find one or two places that do this, and then get a rough quote from them all and just compare the prices with your valuation of your lost files. Sure is a good one.I dont know what the difference is in recovered data between the freeware and the Pro versions.I do know I was pretty impressed to get things back in folders rather than files spread all over the place ?
