Captain Dan
I've had my laptop for a few months now, and it came packaged with a bunch of software I've never had to pay attention to. One time, I logged into my profile, and Registry Mechanic appeared on my Desktop as a shortcut. I looked it up online and thought it might be useful, so I tried to run it. When I did, it just immediately stopped working, and my computer can't find a solution, or so it seems. Does this program really help, or should I just ignore it? Boris
The full version of Registry Mechanic has a one year license. It was probably a trial version on your machine - which has now expired ?
-pops-
There is a lot said about registry checking software - a lot of it is rubbish just trying to sell unnecessary things to fill up your hard drive.I've been using Windows since its early days and never found a need for a registry cleaner. If you do want to use one, try Ccleaner http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download which is free and has a lot more useful things in it than merely cleaning up the registry.
