Iris Williams My mums fav singer .....Well I don't think it was quite pre electric, but Les Paul and his Mrs. were still at the experimental stage (....with the guitars of course). Pee Wee Hunt and his "12th Street Rag" was top of the hits, and that weirdo Phil Harris and "Woodman spare that tree" was a top man.Saturday night, Kings Hall dance throwing out time, last tram out of Bradford, arriving home to hear the last half of Jack Jacksons "Record Review"... Nirvana. There was a "Top Ten" on Radio Luxemburg (or was it twenty? I couldn't count even in those days)Irish Williams was quite a bit later in my memory 70s ish?
