Thought I'd post a few details of the race time table.

The Run takes place on Sunday 21st September

12 midnight road closed

08:45am All runners on site

09:30am BBC ONE live coverage commences

09:30am Baggage buses leave

09:45am Find start area according to your predicted race time

10:10am British Wheelchair Racing Association race start

10:20am Mass warm-up commences

10:15am Elite womens race starts

10:40am BUPA Great North Run 2003 race start - Elite men's race and the masses

1:39pm BBC ONE live coverage ends

Interesting snippet of info:- There will be a race sweep up vehicle. This will be travelling at 17 mins/mile at the rear of the field. Anyone overtaken will be deemed out of the race. So I've not only got to look where I'm going, I've got to keep a sharp look out behind.

Don't forget you are supposed to be cheering No. 25704 and not anyone else - except Paula Radfcliffe who is now taking part.

In case I've not yet bored anyone over this - especially the new members check out the following links

Will do andsome. Have been thinking about my ensemble for the run. Had considered running in the nuddy but there are 2 drawbacks. First I will have to pin my race No. onto my chest with 4 safety pins and I only have 2 nipples. Second the chap who decided to walk from John O'Groats to lands End end enhance his all over suntan was seriously hampered by the Peelers.

I have decided on my ensemble for the run. I shall be wearing a very tasteful navy blue T shirt, accompanied by a pair of very faded and well washed originally blue shorts in addition to originally white trainers. I am often seen running with a water bottle in my left hand - am getting much better at squirting water into my mouth instead of all over my spectacles. I also run with a very soggy handkerchief in my right hand as running also makes my nose run.
