Delete restore points in W7

From what I remember in XP once you had the restore points showing you could delete them from the same box, but not in Windows 7.

If you need to, this is how to do it.

Click Start button, Click Control Panel, Click System & Security, Click System, In the left hand panel, Click System Protection, In Box Click Configure, In box Click Delete, after deletion Click OK.

I prefer to delete all but the last one.

To do this:

In Explorer Right Click on the Drive>Properties>General Tab

Press Disk Cleanup - it will calculate - then Disk Cleanup box will pop up.

Select tab More Options.

Press button Clean up...

It'll ask Are you sure...

Press Delete and OK your way out.

It takes a moment while it thinks about it.

When I did this post D4\/!d, it was because a friend had got an infected computer and needed to delete all restore points.

Useful information all.

There is also the option to turn System Protection off.

I prefer to delete all but the last one.

CCleaner has that option.
