"this copy of windows is not genuine" On legal OEM win

I have message saying "this copy of windows is not genuine" in right bottom corner of desktop.

My system is legal from shop etc.

In computer properties its says something like "Windows activation - status not available"

MS Check gets stuck at green circle.

Windows Update gets error "WindowsUpdate_C0000022" "WindowsUpdate_dt000"

KIS 2010 detect 0 threats...

Forgot to add:

-Windows was activated before

-When i try to eun activation, it gives error. "CODE: 0x80070005 Access denied" (i have administrator account)

As bludgard has said, do try to activate by phone.

Once you have activated make a disk image and then you will not have this problem in the future.

As long as your operating system is genuine there should be no problem.

We cannot / do not offer any advice on ways to circumvent the Microsoft activation process.

Nerfpl,could resetting your services have possibly thrown a rod in your machine?Phone activation really is a viable option that shouldn't be seen as a trip through Hell with gasoline drawers on.

Having just noticed :0 in your thread title that you are running OEM,the phone option would be your easiest choice IMO.

As long as you have a valid COA,you'll be fine.

CODE: 0x0000022

DESC: Access denied, (and new thing) Procces requested access to object, but rights wasnt given. (translating this)

How old is this installation?

Has it always done this or is it a recent occurrence?

If you have the Windows disk, have you considered a repair install/re-install?

Have you contacted Microsoft about the problem. They should be able to sort things out with very little problem.

its happens recently.

I really want to avoid reinstallation, im lazy to setup everything back to normal.

I would agree with -pops-.Reinstall would be best.It will cure a myriad of ills.I know it's a pain,but who doesn't like the feel of a new ride? B)

There would appear by more than once mention of "access denied" in your posts that there is an issue with your administrative rights-for whatever reason(s).

If I understand correctly,your updates are failing?

You just had to fix services related problems?(Protection)

Have you tried Microsoft Security Essentials?

I had paid security suites and with one I couldn't use system restore-an access denied message or some such thing. One disabled various device drivers.

If you can't access to validate your Windows,this must be cleared up,no?

With the OEM I would bet you didn't get an install disk.Could always try a repair install....

Who knows,maybe you will wake up tomorrow to find all is back to normal.I doubt it though.

i have win 7 cd.

I saw alot of smillar problems sloved with gpedit but home premium dont have it.

Yes it seems like my admin account somehow dosnt have 100% access

Your problems may have been caused by malware.

Ensure you have an effective anti-malware program installed such as http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/

Note that you should download this from MS themselves as there are some rogue versions doing the rounds.

Also, if there is anything of any importance on the machine, make sure you have a backup.

No - only use one anti-virus at a time - they can cause big problems if you use two at the same time.
