jmaster18 Posted September 11, 2010 Report Share Posted September 11, 2010 An unexpected error has occured to my windows 7 and I now need to reinstall them.I tried repair but nothing really happened. What I want to know is if I will lose my data during re-installation. I have my 320 gb hard drive partitioned.One partition for windows vista and two partitions for windows 7.The point of interest are the windows 7 partitions.E partition contains only system files(the windows and program data folders)Every personal folder (documents music) has been moved to the other partition named F when I first used windows 7.In the F partition I have installed all my programs and games. I know that if I re-install windows 7 on E I wont lose my data on the F partition.What I dont know is If I will be able after the re-installation to rum my programs and games on windows 7. jmaster18 Posted September 13, 2010 Author Report Share Posted September 13, 2010 I managed to resolve the problem so I dont need reinstall.The problem was that after I resized some partitions to gain space for more files Windows assumed that I installed them in another computer as a pirated version so I got a message this copy of windows is not genuine.After too much search I got to the point that I needed to reinstall them.But After I renamed the partitions as they were before the problem occurs Windows opened to the desktop.The only thing I needed to do was to re-activate them.However I have noticed a performance production,maybe it is my imagination because I worried too much but my question is: Is there a possibility that all this slowed down windows and if there is can it be corrected with repair from the DVD?
