Caddy not recognised

Recommended Posts

I'd go with the power issue suggestion.

An external 2.5 inch drive I have will give indications of working if it is plugged into a USB port but it fails to work. It is only when a second power source (another USB port or USB power unit) is attached that the drive is properly recognised By Windows.

I can't explain why it functions with Linux and not Windows, though.
