-pops-
Have you tried a different mouse/kboard?Are the mouse/keyboard wired or wireless? If wireless, are the batteries fully operative? Rechargeable batteries don't last for ever.
rong
Or this could be a problem with your computer as you say "when i try and wake the pc it takes forever to wake the monitor" and the first thing I would try is a clean with Ccleaner

levon 382
ok, ive checked, its not the keyboard or mouse.i ran Ccleaner, it did seem to speed up pc when its running.but i still have the same problem after it sits awhile and i try to start it up, it takes forever for the screen to come on, in other words its black for at least 10 minutes before it comes on.i dont have the knowledge to know if its the monitor or the computer. since the monitor does work, im thinking something with the computer but not sure??? rong
The problem you seem to have could be the PSU monitor graphics card or ram motherboard, can you change any of them? the monitor and graphics card first then the PSU, try the monitor on another PC get your hands on a mates card that you know works etc
