Windows Error - Not Working

I've downloaded Shutdown timer's portable version from internet. When i start it it shows a dialog box written Shutdown timer has encouraged a problem and nedds to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. The same problem is with some other particular software's too. How can i solve the problem and what is the problem? I have used that program before.

Why are you using this software?

I have used computers from way before Windows was invented and never found the need for any software like that.

Modern versions of Windows have their own (inclusive) versions of shutdown control under Power Options in Control Panel.Try that.

thanks pops, but still this problem arises for some other programmes. It worked perefctly weeks before.

This can be due to the files becoming corrupt or even incomplete when you download them. Try to download again and see if you have better luck.

Defrag, run CCleaner, run Chkdsk, run Malwarebytes anti-malware in safe mode.

If the problem is conflicts due to other software you have installed, remember that you can use System restore.

If all was OK a few weeks before it is quite obvious it is something that you have done, or something that you have installed. Just think back and reverse that process.
