Gandalph
No, not that I know of. I would be interested to know where you bought the fake disc from. Was it a Car Boot sale or somewhere on-line?

Boris
How were you taken in ? Was it a proper looking CD with the hologram ?, or is it just a fake key you have bought ? What version was it - XP Pro or XP Home ? What Service Pack did it include ?

Gandalph
The only suggestions I can make are as follows: 1). Ring Microsoft and explain the problem with them. You will almost be asked to describe what the ~Disc looks like. The odds are Microsoft will ask you to pay a License fee and they will activate the Disc for you with the new License number. The last person I know who did this cost him £90.00. It took four weeks from starting the process to getting his license sorted out. 2). Try and find a Computer dealer (shop) that still has copies in stock, e.g. Curry's, PC World or some one like that. You may get it cheap now that Windows 7 has been out for a while. Sorry I can't be more possitive about the situation. Microsoft looks on Pirated software very seriously as you can appreciate.
