AlanHo
When I am away from home (like now) and having to use my Notebook computer to post on forums - I am forever hitting the Caps Lock key without noticing. I don't find out until I have typed a load of text ready to post and have to do it all over again.Salvation has arrived in the form of a tidy little utility designed by the UK Computer Active magazine which produces a continuous "chime" when the Caps Lock is on. I rarely use the Caps Lock key deliberately so the nagging chime is music to my ears. No longer do I have to re-type a load of text that was in capitals. You download from here www.computeractive.co.uk/2214966I have dropped the program file into my Start-Up folder so that it is activated every time I boot the computer. catgate
Would it not be easier, and less stressful, to simply stay at home, like we poor people have to do???
bludgard
There is also an option within Windows 7 Ease of Access Center what allows this.
MANEMAN
Tones ? Nagging chimes ?All of that noise would kick off my tourettes and the twitch really badly all over again. Just a teardrop of superglue to permanently attach the capslock to the the keyboard case and use the shift key for the big letters. Permanent on is a matchstick jamming the shift key down. AlanHo
The windows method only emits a single chime when the caps lock key is pressed - which is easily missed when you are concentrating on your typing, correct grammar, SPEELLLING ETC WHICH IS WHY I NEEED - Bugger - the continuous chime to nag me. bludgard
OK.I only put that info out there for those that are less occupied ( I suppose ).As my input is a whole lot less than the output from my PCs; I have now decided to rip my keyboard off and connect a USB to my dongle and transfer input via high-speed plasma emission....Image unrelated.
