Theslayerbudgie
Hello people. I have the problem that my settings just suddenly changed and i want to get the normal settings back.I am running Windows XP porfessional. This is how the problem looks, the taskbars letters and the start button has in some way changed look. Now: Before: It may not look very big but it is waay too annoying to see the taskbar like that. Please help me change back to normal. Thanks.

rong
I just looked for a setting that would change it and couldn't find one so it could well be something you have downloaded
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
I am not quite sure what you see as a problem; the "Before" version looks wrong to me, the "Now" version looks like a correct taskbar.
rong
The before one is what I have, the small s that is, so I hope that's the normal one.

No, it's not - there are not running processes visible in the systray (just something that looks like a disconnected messenger). What's the point of having a taskbar if there are no visible tasks? Boris
Pat, I presume that the "Before" screenshot was taken with no processes running ?
bludgard
I just looked for a setting that would change it and couldn't find one .... Notification icon(s) in sys tray are configurable in XP: Right-click in notification area (not an icon therein) and choose Customize Notifications. Cheers Edit: Forgot image
