-pops-
My only experience with W8 was to upgrade a reasonably up to date W7 machine. After a couple of weeks trying to like and get used to W8 I admitted defeat and reverted to W7. I am not the only one to have done this backwards step and MS appear to be acknowledging their errors by introducing a W7 lookie-likie update for W8 sometime soon. Gandalph
I'm with pops on this one. When the pre-release came out I downloaded it onto my Windows machine and within a couple of weeks took the damn thing off. Just couldn't get used to it. Whether it's different on a touch-screen monitor remains to be seen. Windows 8, it was definitely not for me.
