andsome Posted October 7, 2003 Report Share Posted October 7, 2003 Talking about a wall of sound, I went to see 'The Italian Job' last night. It just did not compare with the original in any way shape or form. It was a typical Hollywood mess up of what was a damned good original film. The effects were grossly overdone and totally silly and impossible. There was far too much computerisation. The sound track was diabolical. I don't think that my dislike of so called pop music is a great secret, but the soundtrack of this film bordered on the illegal for sheer volume. It appeared to me to consist almost entirely of over loud drumming, which had no bearing on the film whatsoever. If you want to see a good film go and see 'Calendar Girls'.
