FastBean
hi, I accidently downloaded Awesomehp and it appeared in my browser and it was sooo annoying, I am not sure how exactly i installed it, but anyways I found a removal guide and I think it's gone but the article i read said I need an antivirus program to remove it completely. Is that true? Is it still in my PC even If I don't see it anymore? (this was the article if it makes any difference http://www.xp-vista.com/spyware-removal/awesomehp-com-removal-guide)? So should I use one, or is everything fine already? thank you, guys :)))
-pops-
Are you saying you don't already have an antivirus program installed? I strongly suggest that you get one as soon as you can. In the meantime, do a scan with http://www.trendmicro.co.uk/campaigns/housecall/index_a.html?mkwid=sUtW5aBly_dc&pcrid=31596926586&kword=house%20call&match=e&plid=&gclid=CIG76vmF1rwCFafKtAodGlwAWg Use the free version. Belatucadrus
The link you posted suggests downloading Spyhunter, an antispyware program that seems to be held in low regard and may not be much better than AwesomeHP. Have a look at Bleepingcomputer, follow their instructions and use Malwarebytes which will be a much safer option. I agree with pops if you don't have an Antivirus installed, get one there're plenty that's free for home use check out this old post for a few suggestions.
