RangeRyder
I'm having trouble installing Service Pack 2 for Vista. Every time I install it goes through the entire process and at the end it tells me that SP2 has been installed but when I try to install Windows Live Mail it tells me that I need SP2. After I shut down my machine and re-start then Windows Update tells me that SP2 is available for download and install. Can anyone help me with this problem? Boris
You could also try this :-http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/tweaking_com_repair_windows_updates.htmlI've used it a couple of times recently on machines where Windows Updates just wouldn't install, and it solved the problem. Not sure how it is with a whole Service Pack though, although the principles are the same.
