Hi Guys,

Anybody out there know how to boot from a usb drive on startup to run a iso download of linux?

I am running windows 8.1 and have spent so much time restarting my laptop to try and boot from the usb drive to run linux, I am just about ready to walk away.

Any help please.

Cheers

Hi, Sorry about late reply. My Compaq 45 laptop is running Windows 8.1 and to the best I can find out my laptop has a UEFI Bios.

I am trying to boot from my cd/dvd drive on start up. Which has a desktop live desktop iso dvd of Fedora.

I have tried at start up pressing esc F8 F10, no luck.

Cheers to any suggestions thanks.
