Irene
.There is a train one kilometre long, travelling at a rate of one kilometre per minute through a tunnel which is one kilometre long. How long will it take the entire train to pass through the tunnel from entrance to exit?
Belatucadrus
Length of tunnel irrelevant 1Km long at 1Km mer minute will take 1 minute to pass a fixed point.
Irene
. There is a train one kilometre long, travelling at a rate of one kilometre per minute through a tunnel which is one kilometre long. How long will it take the entire train to pass through completely? Length of tunnel irrelevant 1Km long at 1Km mer minute will take 1 minute to pass a fixed point. I have made a couple of amendments to the question (see in the quote above). Sorry if it wasn't clear that the train - including the front and rear (not just one point) - would need to pass through the entire tunnel, from entrance to exit.
