gordythegouge
Hi, can anyone help with a message i'm geting saying that PC companion (For Xperia mobile) couldn't startup. error message 0XC0000022.Running windows 7 on a laptop. Any advice appreciated, although I have looked online and there appears to be some bespoke tools to resolve this issue but not sure how safe they are? Cheers Gordy :)

Irene
Another possibility...http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/discover-more/update-your-xperia-software/

gordythegouge
Anyone heard of Regservo? doing a scan and it's come up with a huge amount of errors but Ccleaner hasn't I've just run it????
Boris
Regservo ! - doesn't seem to be very trustworthy. Uninstall it and stick with CCleaner
gordythegouge
Well sorry, but CCleaner isn't solving this one and I've tried to run sfc/scannow in the command prompt window but don't seem to be able run as admistrator or work out from instructions how to run as administrator. I'm obviously thicker than extremely thick gravy and slower than molasses but I'm looking for help. I've tried uninstalling the software and re-installing, system restore won't allow me to reset to time when it all worked. Seriously considering a drive wipe and starting all again, and that's the last option. :(
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
So the problem is still the message at startup? If so, just remove it from your startup list (CCleaner | Tools | Startup).
gordythegouge
The message is only part of the problem ie. the program won't start......and I would really like it to start! :(
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Since I do not know that program, have you checked if a newer version of it is available?
Irene
Gordy, you could try using Sony support for Xperia here: http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/
