I've been using 13 on a netbook for some time but when I had main PC problems recently I decided I hated Windows 8 so much I got a cheap mini PC and loaded Mint 17 Cinamon, it seems easy to use blindingly fast and as with many Linux distros chucks in much of what you'll need re browsers office suites etc for free.
