DavidG
Every site I visit tells me I'm outdated, and I cant see all of some sites due to using IE8. I'm told IE 11 isnt supported by my machine, and am prompted to get SP 1. I may have done that, not sure. Searched for SP1 internally but no results, so maybe download failed. Anyway, been on it for hours and zip, nada, nothing. How do I update to IE11? I'm using a 2009 Toshiba laptop with windows 7. Thanks in advance and excuse my ignorance... -pops-
Does the machine automatically update Windows? If it does then all your Windows related software will be the current version. If it doesn't then open Control Panel, click on Windows Update in the list provided and follow the instructions.
DavidG
Pops, thanks for your reply. I just tried what you described. I got an error 80240016, what ever that is. I dont get why my laptop doesnt update automatically, if that is the standard.

DavidG
Thanks Pops and Bela (nice avatar btw). I somehow was able to upgrade to ie 11, I think due to pops advice. But cant click on some links, and the address baron Outlook is still green. I read that meant I was using an old browser. Thanks for putting up with my ignorance...
