Belatucadrus
Yesterday while driving mother to the shops ended up behind a Range Rover SVR, now for those of you not suffering petrol head syndrome the letters SVR indicate that the vehicle in question is tweaked to within an inch of its life and is capable of ludicrous speed. Now some performance cars bring me out in chronic Auto envy, this thing however just struck me as daft, the car was footling along at normal urban traffic speeds but the cacophony of snarls whistles and pops from the enormous V8 and its supercharger was ridiculous. Combine that with the fact that it's neither one thing nor tother. It's too big to be a sports car and nobody is ever going to off-road with it. It's just a huge noisy way of announcing to the world that you have more cash than sense. Rant over.
andsome
A Honda Jazz suits me fine. I can never understand people having thos vehicles and never using them for the intended purpose. They may as well have a lorry or double decker bus
catgate
I think you have missed the point of these vehicles, Belatucadrus. The reason d'etre (as the froggies say), Is to enhance the standing of its owner (in his own eyes), but illustrate the level of his intelligence in the eyes of everyone else. Belatucadrus
I like sports cars, I own one. I'd love a supercar. But near supercar performance in something that's like a house on wheels that will never out perform a decent sports car/saloon on the road or a proper 4WD off it. There's clearly a demographic for the product, I'm just not in it thank God. ( The God mentioned in the above post is a non specific generic multi faith god, suitable for all denominations atheists and agnostics. He/She goes by the name Bob and does a bit of benign smiling on the faithful, but not heavily into performing miracles or supplying virgins. Largely due to a severe shortage in the western world )
catgate
. Largely due to a severe shortage in the western world . I believe there is something like a three week waiting list, even when you a speak a foreign tongue or are an MP.
