Oh boy - it worked.

The problem now is that all my old pictures still don't show on this forum - but they do on other forums.  Hence the reason why my pictures no longer show here is because they are in folders with titles like "Windows Forum" and "i30 Forum" etc.

This forum has suddenly decided to not recognise links from Photobucket that are in such sub folders. It would be a massive job for me to move all my pictures to a one word folder and I await Craig solving a problem not experienced by other forums.

Congratulations IMTNT for great detective work.:brilliant:

I explained the problem I am having to the main Admin Guru on my i30 forum and he replied as follows

Alan,

I've seen this behaviour before - I believe it's down to the security checks made on external URLs by whatever forum software is in use. In our implementation of SMF I've replaced the issued security controls with a softer approach, as we too used to have your reported issue, or a variance of it.

It would appear that there has been a software update on your forum which has changed the security settings.
