Gustavo Woltmann
My laptop became a little slow from last few months. My laptop has already a 4gb ram. My friend suggested me have another 4gb ram. He said it should boost up my laptop speed. My question is - Is that really gonna help me or not? Belatucadrus
Depends a lot on your laptop and what you're doing with it. Your profile says Windows 7 if it's an older 32 bit system then 4GB is as much as it can handle, if it's 64 bit then it can handle 8GB and you may see some improvement. However as you've only noticed the slow down over the last few months, it may be worth wondering what's changed to slow things down. A little housecleaning may be in order Error check the drive then run Optimise and Defragment. before spending money.
johnbhura1
If still your laptop is not got fast then format it and then check the speed... Delete temp add %temp files from your computer and then check.
-pops-
Formatting should be the last process in tried in speeding up an errant computer.
sarfrazk9
There are more factors to it. I believe you should buy an SSD.
pewpewmarc
If the reason of your laptop slowing down has something to do with ram, then yeah, your friend's right. Buy an extra ram to essentially "lighten the burden" of your laptop when it's processing.
