Belatucadrus
This year I purchased my calendar online from The Works, I could either pay to have it posted to me or free if I went to collect from my local branch. being cheap I went for option two. After a few days I got an e-mail advising me it was ready for collection so I popped in. Looked at the package and somewhat surprised to see how they'd transported it from depot to local branch. Yep they posted it ! Now call me old fashioned but if they'd simply posted it direct to me it would have cost them the same, but their way somebody has to book in the parcel, send me an e-mail and then go look for it in a back room when I turn up. This seems a strange business model.
AlanHo
You have too high an expectation of business logic. You must be an old git like me who can remember when things were so much better and more logically organised.
andsome
You would not believe the experience I have just had with an online merchant on Amazon. November the sixth. Twelve Britta Maxtra water filters ordered A few days later three were delivered. I e mailed and was asked for a photo of what was sent together with the packaging. They apologised and said the other nine would be despatched right away. Nothing happened for several days so I we mailed them again. They replied with an apology, and said that the balance would be despatched right away and sent a tracking number. Two days later a small package turned up with that tracking number,it contained a small cheap clock radio. The box contained a packing note for someone in Bristol. I e mailed yet again, and was asked for a photo. I refused and told them the address on the packing note and demanded my filters and threatened to go to contact Trading Standards. They informed me that the balance of nine would be sent immediately, and asked me to download a returns note. Yesterday a courier arrived with a flimsy plastic bag containing nine filters, packed loose, the bag had bust but luckily there was no damage. The firm on Amazon was iZilla. DON'T ever do business with them. They will have to wait a few days for the radio until I feel like sending it back.
Belatucadrus
Let me guess iZilla are by far the worst company you have ever had the misfortune to do business with. I wonder if the complication was something to do with the fact that the product is listed as "fulfilled by Amazon" (assuming I'm looking at the right product ) which means they store, pack and dispatch. Not trying to excuse iZilla but the chain of communication looks more complex than it needs to be.

All e mails go via Amazon, and they retain copies. iZilla did all the answering
