Hi all

I am a bit concerned that i can not get to ebay.de when a mate of my that only lives a couple of miles away can.

There are alos a dozen or so other sites i can't seem to get, also MSN messenger can not log in.

My other PC which is connect to the same router and is networked to this one is having exactly the same problems.

The sites are nothing special, ebay thecaretakers forums, c bee bees, friend reunited.

I did a tracert on www.ebay.de and it seemed to stop somewhere in the usa

So i don't think the problem is with me. I installed Linux Red Hat 9 today onto a different Hdd (but same PC just swap hdd over) and that could not get ebay.de either.

But i was getting the site up untill about 14:00, the next time i checked, nothing, just 404

So does anybody have any ideas

The os is XP Home and on the other PC W2k, networked together through a Netgear RT314 Router connected to a DSL modem.

Thanks

Tony

It would appear so, California, where they are having the fires?

Who is your ISP?

Hi

Ok i have just solved the problem.

By upgrading the firmware in my router. Why i started having problems in the first place all of a sudden, i don't know.

I will have to keep an eye on the router in futuer in case it is slowly giving up the ghost.

Thanks for all the help

Tony
