johnoo
Just been advised that I can download & Install this version. Are there any known problems? Should I wait a while?
Boris
John I've upgraded 5 machines so far to this version. No problems yet. Note - please make sure you have any USB pen drives or external Hard drives unplugged before you start (there were some initial problems reported if you left these in). johnoo
Boris, Many thanks, did it this afternoon, took 4.5 hours Only problems were that two default Applications were reset to how M/Soft like them, so I reset to how I like them. Also got confused with new workings of Windows Key - but solved it. Windows key on Keyboard not working, could be keyboard?
johnoo
Any ideas on how I can get the Windows Key on Keyboard to work? I've unplugged/re plugged in but still a problem!
Boris
4 hours ago, johnoo said: Boris, Windows key on Keyboard not working, could be keyboard? Is that the only key not working ? Have you spilt any liquids on it ? Try turning it upside down and shaking it, if anything is jamming the key - it should fall out. Otherwise, if another keyboard works properly with that machine, then that would indicate some physical problem with your existing keyboard ? Akshay_M
This update seems to contain few bugs on which Microsoft is working to get them resolved. If you`re downloading this update make sure you do that via windows media creation tool for clean install. Regards, Akshay
RonPeters
The quick answer is “Yes,” according to Microsoft, it’s safe to install the May 2019 Update. However, there are some known issues, such as problems with display brightness, audio, and duplicated known folders after the upgrade, and a number of other problems that makes the stability of the new version questionable.
