Thanks mark. I was really looking for something to test out my existing setup. I did have a CD sometime back which checked out the existing system and reported what was compatible etc. I've lost it and having carried out many mods, since then, do I have any remaining probs. e.g. I'm pretty sure my Black Widow scanner is a problem. Perhaps I aught to go for dual boot just for this and anyother remaining problems. Also the test software reported which applications had a problem. I've tried looking at the M4 site without luck.

Again, thanks for those links. They have raised queries about the following items on my system. My NVIDIA Geforce Ti 4200 Video card; My Cannon Digital IXUS v Camera; My ADSL Modem; My hp DJ 960c printer and my C-media AC97 Audio device, as well as Age of Emoires II; IntelliPoint (mouse?); AVG antivirus and DVD player. Didn't mention the scanner though. Well will now have to check out later versions of the above.

I do hope our Nel kept a decent diary of her experiences :D

My NVIDIA Geforce Ti 4200 Video card - Ignore it, XP will take this card.

My Cannon Digital IXUS - Look for a XP driver.

My ADSL Modem - Which modem? (look for a XP driver)

hp DJ 960c printer - Look for a XP driver

C-media AC97 Audio device - Not sure but again lok for a XP driver

AVG antivirus - It will work with XP

The others :P find it out yourself.
