However Labour sleaze and total incompetence has far outweighed anything that the Tories did. The Liberal Democrats are a load of wallies, who would hand over total control of this country to Europe given half a chance. -pops- Posted November 12, 2003 Report Share Posted November 12, 2003 British politicians are a load of self serving crooks in the business purely for what they can get out of it with no concern for anyone else, including the colleagues thay may be supposedly in collusion with. This is not party biased - they are all the as bad as each other with equal amounts of dishonesty. This dishonour may be biased in different directions but it is equally bad whatever party is involved.What happened to the "statesmen" of politics? People who one could respect and who had a genuine concern for the population they were paid to represent? I don't recall one of these in all the years I've been able to vote - which is quite a few. Because they don't have any wealthy sponsors, unlike the Tories whose sponsors own the party and can dictate its leadership and unlike the Labour party whose sponsors, including individuals and unions, own the party and dictate its leadership. So called 'democracy' is bought. Us mugs go through the democratic process but the 'contest' at the polling booths is wealth versus wealth.
