Linux is the developer/distributor of Linux Mint. There are many versions of Linux such as what you just mentioned -- "Linux Mint" and the other popular one is UBUNTU, Fedora, Debian, etc.

Regarding this question: "Which is better, ubuntu or Linux mint?" It's Linux Mint, cause it consumes lower memory usage, plus it disables snap store by default while in Ubuntu you have to make use of it by default.

Linux is an open-source operating system that can run computers, phones and other devices. It is a highly customizable platform with different distributions available. Linux Mint is one of the most popular distributions of Linux.

Unlike the official version of Linux, Linux Mint comes pre-installed with many user-friendly applications and tools, such as the popular MATE and Cinnamon desktop environments, multimedia codecs, Adobe Flash Player, VLC media player, and a variety of open-source software. It also includes a range of pre-installed games and proprietary drivers for hardware components such as printers and wireless networks. Additionally, Linux Mint comes with an easy-to-use Software Manager that makes installing and uninstalling software a breeze.

Linux Mint is perfect for beginners who are looking for an easier way to get familiar with Linux. It offers more intuitive graphical interfaces that make common tasks such as printing, connecting to a wireless network, or playing multimedia files much simpler than with the official version of Linux. In addition, its user-friendly Software Manager allows new users to quickly and easily install software from a wide range of available programs.

Overall, Linux Mint is an excellent choice for those just starting with Linux, as it offers many advantages over the official version of Linux. It provides more user-friendly graphical interfaces and easy access to proprietary hardware drivers and multimedia codecs. Its Software Manager also makes software installation easy and hassle-free, making it a great all-around solution for users of all levels. We hope this guide has given you an understanding of the differences between Linux and Linux Mint. Its many advantages make it an ideal choice for those just starting with Linux.
