Boris
Elsewhere in the UK it appears that trees are being blown down onto buildings, crushing cars, demolishing power lines etc. In Gloucestershire it seems that the trees come off worse than the cars ? Belatucadrus
Fingers crossed we're OK so far, locally Dudley seemed to bring down more trees and branches than Eunice and Franklin has been very wet despite the BBC saying we were getting "Showers". Showers hell it tipped down and with the Severn being as high as it is some people are likely to end up with in house paddling facilities. Being bumpkins who've been caught out before we're well set to endure the vicissitudes of outrageous weather. The log fire is set, the camping stoves are ready and I gave the generator a blast to confirm that it hasn't dropped dead in the years since it last got run in anger. Personally I blame the Met office, giving storms names gives them ideas above their station.
