moon
Helluva laptop, mark2 B) Grim, I loaded Diskeeper Lite, defragged and dropped 80 points. Uninstalled Diskeeper and gained 111. Probably not relevant but I thought I'd throw it in the mix. :)

moon
Well, if you click on Mark's link above you should be looking at the details of his personal machine. Why not just register, andsome ? It's only a matter of entering an email addy and password.
andsome
Well, if you click on Mark's link above you should be looking at the details of his personal machine. Why not just register, andsome ? It's only a matter of entering an email addy and password.I changed my e-mail address last night, after my spam total touched the hundred mark. I don't want to put an e-mail address on any more websites. I am very happy with the computer, so I'll play safe and leave well alone. moon
OK, but the Pit is a hotbed of anti-spam, ant-spyware, anti-anything nasty. They've just been sued by Gator for exposing them as the computer retarding outfit that they are. There's as much chance of the Pit misusing your addy as there is of a vicar losing his address book. :D Anyway, if you worry about that why not set up a dummy account somewhere, hotmail or something ? moon
Nice one. Just within reach :D Tell me, why does my test show 'Secondary' after my Video Brand/Model result. In my hardware list, on my system, it says ' Radeon 9200' and beneath that it says 'Radeon 9200 Secondary' like they were different bits of hardware. mark2
Reran tests again, no h/ware tweaks available, just disabled 2 items avast & buzzsaw) and get these results. might have to look at a couple of minor tweaks in processes.http://www.pcpitstop.com/techexpress.asp?id=U7B6KW30TFMSYPB3

moon
Not sure - do you have on board graphics and is disabled? The mobo manual states that onboard graphics are disabled automatically on sensing the presence of a graphics card.bvw, I've just upgraded from an almost identical scoring machine. ByGeorge
Here are my Test results for your perusal :D Stock score - my board won't let me OC. :( Roll on Christmas..That's why I went for the Asus board. ;) I'd have thought the radeon 9800 card would have scored better than this puny 5200. My hard drives are 24A's but my test doesn't show their identity  . You have a good uncached speed, curious when mine are a later version with 8Mb cache. The fat32 v's ntfs issue doesn't seem to have any impact.Another thing, both our machines rate around 300% when compared to 4 others, I've seen another with the same score, and wonder how bad the other two must be  Just musing out loud I s'pose. :) Oh moon, I've never had a radeon, but does it generate a "driver" for all the optional outputs it has, maybe you can diable in the profile of the card. nVidias have a tab in the settings section of display properties. :)
