-pops- Posted December 4, 2003 Report Share Posted December 4, 2003 Suggestion for anyone buying a computer for Christmas:Check it out thoroughly before wrapping it up and putting it under the tree. Don't just switch it on and watch it light up, get it to do something.This advice applies equally to all other electrical/electronic gear.Make sure you have a supply of batteries for any portable equipment as well. Remember there aren't many shops open on Christmas Day. To be on the safe side, check around to see if one near you will be open. When I was a student, I worked part time in a pharmacy who opened over Christmas. I remember they used to get extra stocks of batteries, indigestion remedies, hangover cures and condoms ready for the Christmas Day and Boxing Day openings :) :) :) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
