Sir Radfordin
Feel it has been a tad slow all day really. Perhaps the French are destroying their cables again??

andsome
No problem here in South Staffs, but I cannot bring in e-mails and have not been able to do so since yesterday morning. NTL told me yesterday that they had just heard that one of the servers was down. This was not confirmed on the website until yesterday evening. There has been no update on the website. The free phone server status line on 08000524315 reports no outages in this area. I am currently sitting with the phone to my ear trying to get through again. Luckily I can read the text of my messages on Mailwasher, but cannot of course see attachments. I can send e-mails without bother.
andsome
Just got off the phone to NTL. It seems that the user name was incorrect, it had only four digits instead of six. I have been receiving and sending e-mails with no bother at all since I changed my e-mail address last week. I had even made a note of the four digit user name that I had chosen. Why should the setting suddenly change, or alternatively why should four digits have worked OK until half way through yesterday morning? I am puzzled.
