Don't get me wrong, I don't think there is anything amiss with W2K - it's far better than any W9x efforts but it never seemed to be popular with the home/home-office user and thus less effort was put in by M$ in either promoting it or keeping it a the cutting edge of development.

The best thing it did do though was to improve and promote the NT engine which many of us are now using and "enjoying" in WXP.

I read an article describing 2K Pro as Micro$haft's worst marketing blunder, providing a fast and stable O/S with NTFS that would outlast their initial DRM ambitions. I like that story. :D

Boris , Deepburner also worked on my old Mitsumi CR 484TE. Generally, I'd have to turn off all running apps. using Adaptec ECDC but Deepburner ploughed on regardless and burned the disc. :)

Where can I get a copy of this article, is it on the internet somewhere?

Just ran DeepBurner, boris.

It recognised the drive and burned a perfect disc.

I like the interface, which makes Nero look like an arcade game.  Definitely one for the economically deprived philanthropist, I'd say.  Ta muchly.  :)

I do try to provide Value for Money for the "economically deprived philanthropist" like you moon ! ! :D :D :D
