artist Posted February 7, 2004 Report Share Posted February 7, 2004 I have finally changed to BB but find that the old ISP name is still at the top of OE and IE - have gone into 'search' but it won't let me delete the last few dregs.How come the new ISP hasn't automatically replace the other one? I've left the settings at the default ' Use system connection' and it runs fine, no port details required. I let it through my firewall first for updates and then allowed it in my firewall settings as a trusted application. andsome Posted February 9, 2004 Report Share Posted February 9, 2004 The only time I have had to use proxy settings was when I could not access the internet or parts of it, and NTL talked me through the settings. I went back to not using them after a day or two. On a couple of occasions when problems have occured since then, I have again applied the proxy setting for a while until their peoblems have been sorted out.
