trackrat Posted February 27, 2004 Report Share Posted February 27, 2004 I have 2 computers linked to one keyboard, mouse & monitor linked through a KVM switch.I left both computers running while I was working on a spreadsheet on the one computer, when I switched to the other computer it asked me for a localhost login to Mandrake so I put my user name in and pressed enter, then it asked me for a password and I pressed enter again, next up came ( alan@local host alan 1$ ) with a flashing cursor. I pressed enter and the message in brackets just repeats itself. Can you please tell me how to get access to mandrake. :dummies: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

trackrat Posted February 27, 2004 Author Report Share Posted February 27, 2004 YES, there were 2 options, I think root was the first one and I did not set a password for this.The second one which I cant remember the name of was the one I set the password in.
