BT email a/c hijacked

I've just gone to check my BTOpenworld a/c and it's been hijacked by this insidious piece of garbage called Yahoo!

It's held me to ransome and insisted that I fill out forms that it will use against me and won't let me check my emails until it's satisfied with all my answers.

Despite the fact that it held me hostage for ten minutes as it kept rejecting username after username - I can't believe that every combination was taken - it still refuses me access to my account.

Not chuffed

i never got a bt broadband email stuck with an msn account but this would be alot of hassle if you had to change but if you ditch bt broadband it would be the same hassle

Not dial-up but log onto the email service - mine was ****@btopenworld.com but I imagine the same thing has happened to the ****@btbroadband accounts.

I've signed up twice now with Yahoo! so I can check on my account but all its done is give me a new Yahoo! account with no reference at all to my btopenworld account.

Your account has successfully been upgraded to BT Yahoo! Mail

Please note: your email address hasn't changed. To use your improved email service, just login to your BT Yahoo! Mail account now at bt.yahoo.com/mail

That's what it says now when I try to log onto my account but it's not happening.

Is this a recent change with BT Yahoo? I've been with this service from the start but I don't use it.

It's installed, yes but, all it does is catch spam. I still use IE as my default browser and as general purpose browsers I use Firefox, Avant or Netscape (did use opera but it let me down). I also still use OE for my POP3 emails.

I open the BT browser once a week to empty the spam catcher and that's all I see of it.
