artist
I thought all the donated blood was checked for that sort of thing anyway!? I would have hoped so, as I've been given a few pints.............
andsome
It's about time they erred on the side of safety for once, instead of saying "don't worry everything is OK, there is no danger".
Tankus
Difficult to detect prions ....plus its long incubation period ,and infected person could go for decades without the symptoms manifesting itself , but still be a carrier ...Long term the government just does not know,so it has gone for safety ... but yet its approved GM .... Tankus
Experts discover first signs of BSE in sheepIndependent
Hurdy
It was always theoretically possible for sheep to be infected with BSE because they were once fed the same infected material that had spread the brain disease in cattle during the 1980s and early 1990sSo it's not just the animals that ate the 'infected materials' it's also passed from beast to beast. Or is it now passed down from beast to beast as well?
andsome
All this stems from trying to make money. If herbivores had not been fed animal protein, CJD would never have happened and neither would BSE. Feeding a herbivore a carnivore's diet was obscene.
