Damo Posted March 17, 2004 Report Share Posted March 17, 2004 Drovers, If you want to add anything to ANY closed thread just PM a Mod, were happy to re-open it for the odd post as long as the post is useful and not negative (Not that YOU would!) :PThe Censorship thread was closed because it had basically ran its ground at the time and nothing new was being added.Hope this helps. It isn't now current as the items it refers to are now gone (I believe) so I've asked for it to be removed/deleted as it is not now of any use/interest and, to be honest, it doesn't reflect very well on the forum as a whole very fact that I raised it.I hope it is soon gone. Craig Posted March 17, 2004 Report Share Posted March 17, 2004 More literature will be provided in the coming months with regards to the procedures we have in place with regards to re-opening topics that have been closed, as well as other items.At the moment (as you have pointed out), due to time zones, topics may be closed before everyone has time to comment. This can also work the opposite way where members may also spam the forum for hours before a moderator even notices.Luckily, Damo is usually online throughout the night when the general moderator population is in bed. So if you have a query or request you should make him your first point of contact (but please don’t inundate him with requests).The community we have is extremely small and not as diverse as sites such as neowin.net, but as I have always stated, we are growing. I am always monitoring the situation with regards to members browsing during UK twilight hours, so as and when necessary I will select members who are in different time zones to become moderators.Craig.
