What is the best

Hi gigg. I'm sorry that you were told IE is no good, nothing could be further from the truth. It's an excellent browser to use and one of the best. After saying that there are other excellent browsers as well. Why not download a couple and try them out.

Opera-Mozilla are two to start with and you can have them both on your system at the same time as IE, even use them at the same time.

I often have IE open for one forum and Opera for another or for browsing/searching. :)

I've had IE, Netscape, Opera, Firefox, Avant, Yahoo and Crazy Browser installed at various times. I tend to move from one to another. No good reason for doing this other than liking a change every so often.

Very impressed with Firefox at the moment.

The one I really don't like is the BT Yahoo browser designed, it seems, by Mickey Mouse.

All of the above are free - give them a go. You can always uninstall if you don't like them and they don't interfere with one another if you kept them all.

:) :)

Hi Besty. AOL although a good company is not a browser, it is completely different to others and does not mix well.

AOL is more a content provider than an ISP. It has it's own browser based on IE6 and uses this to interface with the web. Until recently you would have been restricted to using AOL's own software to access the internet and use their browser or minimise it to the taskbar and use another browser of your choice. All you e-mail would have been done through AOL's own mail system and you would not have been able to use other mainstream browsers at the same time.

Just a short while back [couple of months] this started to change and it was possible to use IE or any other browser/mail program through AOL. Now you can even use AOL without loading the software onto your PC, just use it as you would any other ISP. Version 9 is due for release anytime now and this will have many new features, including the option of not loading the full software, also the ability to network 2 or more PC's.

If your with AOL at the moment Besty then go to Keyword "Thailand" thats the code name for version 9 and download it. Although it's still BETA it is the version due for release.

When I was with AOL I was BETA testing version 9 over 10 months ago and it was very stable right form the word go. Much nicer to look at and use. :)
