Tankus
The GuardianIf the Bush White House had heeded warnings in early 2001 about the threat from al-Qaida at least two of the September 11 hijackers would "probably have been caught" and "there was a chance" the attacks could have been prevented, the president's former top counter-terrorism adviser told the Guardian yesterdayI wonder if Iraqi fixation will become a future mental health medical term , for a description of a form of mental delusion ..?Mr Clarke said that despite the extent of the support offered by Tony B'liar, British influence in Washington was small. He conceded that without British pressure Mr Bush might not have issued a major policy statement on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but dismissed this as a hollow gestureThat statement as B'liars payoff has cost an awful lot , ,and considering Sharon's deliberate public statement that any possibilities of future peace talks died with yesterdays rocket attack on a wheelchair , Blears place in history of solving the middle east crises , has been blown out of the water (or wheelchair ) ...If the guy was such a threat to Israel that he had to die ...why didn't mossad just poison the old geezer and make it look like a stroke ....Just a death from old age , and no martyr .....but an anti armour helicopter rocket attack in a street in the morning ..is statement making .........Is Israel pushing for an all out military mobilisation ...? (Israeli positions attacked in Lebanon this morning )No more talks ...plenty more guns and bombs

Just imagine what could have been!!! :censored: :DDrovers I am not grateful about a damned thing pertaining to 9/11 other than the fact those pathetic freaks died on impact that committed those atrocious acts.Theres hardly a day that goes by that I do not still think about it and in the back of my mind ponder when it will happen again :( I had friends who went to ground zero to help. They are still in therapy to try to cope with the scattered body parts that littered the area. Those people jumping out of the windows haunt me still. This is one area I cannot joke about . It was a horrible tragedy...I was off work the day this happened. I had been out with friends and stayed out til five in the morning. I slept really late, fell asleep with the tv on and didnt wake up til around 10:30 am. I sat up in bed and saw them broadcasting the planes hitting the towers and thought it was a movie at first. It was all I could do for days after was just sit glued to the television. I didn't want to look at it but yet I could not stop myself and having hope that people would still be found alive. It is something that affected me profoundly as NOTHING ever has before and I will never forget how I felt that morning. It will never leave me, I think it was one of the few times of my life I felt utterly terrified and knew how helpless I really was. I try not to reflect on it too deeply because it gets me extremely emotional.
