nellie2 Posted March 25, 2004 Report Share Posted March 25, 2004 No... normally it is just the operating system like Windows XP that comes as standard with a new PC.... what ever software you get bundled with your shop bought PC is open to the different offers going around.I doubt very much whether anyone would get the full Office Suite as part of the deal because it is expensive. Sir Radfordin Posted March 25, 2004 Report Share Posted March 25, 2004 It is an interesting move as I would have expected them to be making links with another office suite such as Star or OpenOffice - given the lost cost of the machine you would expect people buying them to be looking for software that won't cost more than the PC they have just bought!Which leads onto an interesting question, it has often been said that insurance on your first car is often more than the value of the car itself. -pops- Posted March 28, 2004 Report Share Posted March 28, 2004 I hope this trial version is easier to remove after the time's up than mine was :angry: I needed to do a complete re-install of my Office XP because of rubbish left behind by the time limited Office 2003. No doubt this was a bit over the top and if I'd cared to spend many hours removing the rubbish by hand, I could have got away with it but, I have better things to do.
