Boris
I'd love to be back at work, but my back has gone (Sciatica) and even on the maximum dosage of Co-Proxamol its pure agony to straighten up. I can't walk or bend properly and no way can I get into a car. Its lucky that I was on holiday this week

Drilling on the side method!!Believe me, we got Danced all over the place!! Poor young bloke with me, thought all his Worst Nightmares were happening!!I couldn't stop laughing, I had told him that we were going Waltzing with Matilda before we started, and he thought I was having a Joke!!BTW, only got a couple to go for the big 60! :censored: :D

True to Platos thinking (I think it was him anyway!) 20% of the work takes 80% of the time...in this case it is very very very true

I can't walk or bend properly and no way can I get into a car. Its lucky that I was on holiday this week :angry:I've had back trouble since my early twenties. Ask your doctor for referral to the local physiotherapist for possible acupuncture. It works wonders. meanwhile under NO circumstances lie in the bath, this relaxes the muscles into the wrong position. I have not been in the bath for years after advice from the physio, I have a shower every day instead. Try ling on your stomach with your hands tucked underneath the shoulders, now do a press up from the waist only, keeping your belly button on the ground. Hold the position for a couple of seconds then relax back to the horizontal position. Repeat this ten times several times a day. The idea is to transfer any pain FROM one side of the back, if anything toward a dull ache in the centre. Try the physio department of the local hospital or the local chemist for a small TENS machine. They really do work wonders and are not expensive. Sit in a chair with a good back support, or put a small rolled up towel in the small of the back and keep upright, no lolling.
