Adobe Gamma in Control Panel

Recommended Posts

In Windows XP Home after using this to recalibrate my monitor & completing the procedure, I get the desired result. But when I shutdown & restart, the monitor comes on with the original settings, so I have to do it all again. This does'nt happen if I hibernate instead of standby or turn off. Why is this & how do I overcome it ? Thanks

Hello Creditman, and welcome to the Forum.

Right, I am no expert on this, but I believe that what you have to do is set the monitor up as you would like, then save the settings as a profile. Once this is done, you can go into the advanced settings for your Graphics card, and I believe that under Colour Management, you can then apply the profile to be used as the default.

Is it safe for me to assume you have a product such as Adobe Photoshop (assumption based on the fact you are using the Adobe Gamma program)? If so, I think there is some information about this in the help files for the program.

I hope this info helps, if not, perhaps somebody with better knowledge of this issue will reply.

Regards. Mr. Mouse.
