Hurdy
Google only found one reference to it.UK ForumsApparently it's a hijacker - thought this part was interesting though.More current variants also install a small web server, contained in a file named svchost32.exe. It adds several google addresses (google.de, google.ch, google.ca, etc) search.yahoo.com, and search.msn.com to the HOSTS file, telling windows that the IP addresses for those sites is 127.0.0.1, and that's where it's webserver is listening. artist
well ...Avg just cleared this after a half hour scan ....and guess what ....I can access the pit again .....hmmmm....?Could artist have the same problem? I did some scans  - paranoid now...........nothing! I am getting in the pit more often now - maybe sort itself out eventually.Gonna keep an eye out for any funny bits.........scan every day for a few days. One odd thing though - when I did the 'symantic' free security check, it said there was 'no known virus protection' ????Were they hoping for a sale? - if not why didn't AVG show up? trackrat
Just updated AVG and did a scan and I had two variants of swizzer on my computer which have been deleted from the virus vault. In the past two weeks AVG has stopped seven viruses, it is a pity it cannot catch the virus writers and strangle them. Shadow Wraith
Well I've had this Downloader.Swizzer S trojan on my PC for days now and for the life of me I can't get rid of it.... helllllllllllllllllp. I cant stay booted up for more than a few minutes at a time. AVG has detected it but as soon as I start my virus scan it reboots the system.Could this be a defensive strategy by the virus/trojan writers???It's starting to get :censored: annoying... considering I'm supposed to be writing a webpage and all my stuff is on my PC and not the wife's which I'm using to write this.
