I remember it well, locals call it "the magic roundabout", I met it in 1984 (I think), the advice then was to treat it as a single roundabout, go all the way round the outside.

Swindon is well known for its round-a-bouts - infact someone did a calender of the most famous ones.

The 'magic roundabout' is a series of 5-mini ones that make up one big one. It is a complex design but seems to work. You can go round at least one of them apparently the 'wrong way' - never have I seen a mini round-a-bout have so many lanes on its approach! It still exists and is a joy to use. Who knows, perhaps it will one day become a listed building?!
