Nothing happens,

1. Im quite sure the PSu is working, because when you plug in the moniter, (the moniter gets its power from the PSU, when you plug in the moniter the moniter comes on.

but when the button on the case is pressed, nothing happens, it just does absoutly nothing,

I tries using he buttons of another front pannel from another case abut, same problems,

I have checked and rechecked the motherboard power suply.

I doubt that the monitor gets its power from the PSU.

In those old systems where the monitor plugged into the computer case, the PSU had nothing to do with it, it was just a convenient loop through of the mains to an extra outlet, the idea being less cabling cluttering your room.

So, first thing to look at is the PSU and ensure that is working. Is any power at all getting through to the M/B?? Does anything, however small, happen?
